Tinkoff Bank has received a license to issue digital financial assets
According to the decision of the Central Bank of Russia, Tinkoff Bank is included in the register of information system operators issuing digital financial assets (CFA).
This decision was made after Russia approved the law on the use of digital financial assets and utilitarian digital rights in foreign settlements.
In addition to Tinkoff, Alfa-Bank, St. Petersburg Exchange, Blockchain Hub, National Settlement Depository, Sberbank and other organizations have the right to issue CFAs.
In the cryptocurrency community, the possibility of international settlements in digital financial assets was met with great caution, as concerns arose about increased control over transactions in stablecoins by the state.
Earlier, the Bank of Russia presented new recommendations for financial institutions, calling for reducing work with digital assets to a minimum, abandoning advertising of cryptocurrency services.
