To identify underground miners, the SGB conducted a joint raid with employees of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Uzenergoinspektsii. A criminal case has been opened against each of the three underground miners under Article 169 of the Criminal Code (theft) and investigative actions are underway.

A resident of Yangiyul city managed to steal the most energy ― a 31-year-old man illegally connected to the electric grid and powered 10 Antminer L3++ mining devices. As a result, the damage to the energy company exceeded 1 billion soums (7.2 million rubles).

In the second case, a 26-year-old resident of the Kibraysky district connected mining equipment in his house and did not sign an additional contract with the energy supply company. He managed to steal 685.9 million soums worth of energy (almost 5 million rubles). And finally, another resident of the Kibraysky district spent 579.4 million soums (4.2 million rubles) on energy mining.
