The US has imposed sanctions against the Atomyze and Bitpapa platforms

The U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has expanded the sanctions list to include Russian CFA release platforms Atomyze and Lighthouse.

Also included in the SDN are:

  • Bitpapa P2P marketplace;
  • Crypt Explorer DMCC;
  • developer in the field of Web3Tech blockchain technologies;
  • "Electronic Payment Processing Center" — operator of the Netexchange exchange service;
  • B-Crypto — operator of cross-border settlements for external economic activity;
  • "Distributed Registry Systems" — the operator of the Masterchain platform, and others.
"Atomize LLC operates in Russia in full compliance with local legislation. The restrictions imposed do not affect the operation of the platform in any way."

The Bitpapa team warned about possible minor technical problems in the operation of some functions in the near future, promising to eliminate them promptly.

"Our legal team is studying the restrictions that have arisen for the work. However, this decision of the regulator will not affect the work of our clients in any way. We are ready for such a development. User funds, platform infrastructure and data are safe," the service representatives said.

The Atomyze platform received the status of an operator of the CFA management information system in February 2022. Lighthouse was included in the relevant register a year later.
