The United States will soon adopt a law on regulating the turnover of stablecoins

American lawmakers will soon adopt a decree on regulating the turnover of Tether (USDT) and other stablecoins.

Member of the House of Representatives Maxine Waters said that parliamentarians have almost completely completed work on the regulatory act and will approve it in the near future.

Apparently, the politicians managed to reach a consensus on the issue of cryptocurrencies with a stable exchange rate and agree with the chairman of the Financial Services Committee, Patrick McHenry, who for more than a year put a spoke in the wheels of the authors of the initiative.

Detailed information about the law is still unknown, but Waters said that the central bank will oversee the turnover of stablecoins. Officials will be authorized to draw up a set of rules for issuers of digital assets in order to reduce risks for investors and traders, as well as increase the stability of the financial system.
