In an interview with Encrypted, Stroom co-founder Rostislav Shvets noted that the protocol will be launched in test mode in the second half of March 2024. The release on the mainnet, in turn, is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024.
In addition, Shvets announced the plans of the project team to issue a management token under the STROOM ticker. The distribution of the asset will directly depend on the number of blocked bitcoins of the user, he added.
Token holders will be able to participate in the management of the protocol through voting. It will also be used as collateral when deploying network nodes.
