In the ecosystem of the Blast L2 solution, the first case of a major fraud involving an advertised project occurred. The RiskOnBlast gambling platform team made a $1.3 million rug pull.
The project was one of the participants in the official Big Bang program, and was also repeatedly mentioned in the official Blast social networks. Representatives of the L2 solution called RiskOnBlast a platform with "undeniable potential."
During the initial funding round, the startup raised over $1 million. The bulk of the funds came from retail investors. At the same time, the project team remained anonymous.
On February 25, 2024, all RiskOnBlast social media accounts were deleted. After a while, on-chain analyst SomaXBT stated that representatives of the project sent the collected assets to several cryptocurrency platforms:
- ChangeNow — $497 000;
- MEXC — $360 000;
- Bybit — $187 000.
There was no information about the movement of the remaining part of the media at the time of writing.
According to available information, in total, the project team received more than 420 ETH from users. The funds came from more than 750 different addresses, SomaXBT said.
