The Rabbit Wallet team has warned about a fake wallet application in the App Store
The team of the Rabbit Wallet crypto wallet, developed by the DeBank platform, warned that all applications in the Apple App Store with a similar name are fraudulent. Users have already suffered losses.
Rabbit Wallet has stated that its official app is still under review in the Apple App Store. Now the fake version of the Rabbit Wallet app is still available in this store. It looks like a Rabbit Wallet & Crypto Solution from Solution Development company. This application has been "hanging" in the store for at least four days, despite numerous complaints from users who reported the deception to Apple.
One of the users said that due to the installation of a fake application, he lost $5,000 worth of crypto assets. The victim has already contacted Apple support to find out if the company will be able to reimburse him for losses, because it has received complaints about this fraudulent application more than once. Another user complained that he lost 10% of his portfolio due to the fake Rabby_io app in the Apple store. Another investor reported that his wallet was emptied after introducing a seed phrase in the fake Rabbit app.
This is not the first time the fraudulent Rabbit app has appeared on the App Store. The project team warned about fake cryptocurrencies in October and December last year. A similar situation occurred this month — a fake Curve Finance app was discovered in the App Store.
