The opponent of the crypt, Peter Schiff, regretted that he did not buy BTC in 2010

During an interview on the Impact Theory YouTube channel, Schiff noted that a colleague told him about bitcoin in 2010. The businessman looked closely at the asset, but eventually decided that there was no value in it. Back then, BTC was worth only a few cents.

"Do I regret that I did not make the decision to invest $10,000, $50,000 or $100,000 in it? Of course," Schiff admitted during the conversation.

However, this does not mean that the businessman now likes bitcoin. Following his regret, he added that he still does not believe in the fundamentals of BTC. According to Schiff, investing in cryptocurrency is more of a gamble, rather than some kind of ingenious step.

Over the years, Schiff has regularly criticized bitcoin. The businessman considers it useless and generally calls the asset a Ponzi scheme. According to him, BTC has no base value, and the entire demand for cryptocurrency is based only on empty faith.

Nevertheless, categorical views on the digital asset did not prevent Schiff from releasing a collection of non-interchangeable tokens (NFT) on the Bitcoin network. At the same time, NFT, in his opinion, are fakes that offer nothing.

Currently, bitcoin is the eighth asset by market value. The capitalization of BTC exceeds $1.4 trillion and is second only to gold, as well as giants such as Microsoft and Apple. On the eve of this indicator, the first cryptocurrency overtook silver.
