The Farcaster Web3 platform has added support for Solana addresses

The decentralized social platform Farcaster has added support for Solana, opening up the possibility for users to verify addresses on the blockchain.

"The checks are part of the protocol, that is, they are decentralized, and are available in Hubs without additional permissions," wrote Dan Romero, founder of Farcaster.

The team of the Phantom wallet widely used in the Solana ecosystem has confirmed integration with the Warpcast social network client for linking addresses.

Launched in 2023, the Web3 platform dramatically increased in popularity in January with the advent of the Frames functionality. The mechanism allows developers to embed various interactive features directly into Farcaster messages, known as Casts.

New options have made it possible to use most of the protocol's functions without having to sign transactions or click on external links.

For example, users can release NFTs, play games, and apply instant checks directly from the social feed without leaving the platform.
