The expert pointed out the possibility of hacking the BitForex exchange

A crypto expert under the pseudonym ZaxhXBT pointed to a possible hacking of the BitForex exchange. Users complain that the platform's website is unavailable.

According to the expert, on February 23, 2024, $56.5 million in crypto assets were withdrawn from the platform's hot wallets, mainly in the form of Teller tokens (TRB).

At the same time, the exchange is one of the largest holders of the asset. Its share is about 18%. At the time of writing, these tokens are concentrated at this address.

As noted by ZachXBT, as well as some other users, the exchange's website is not working. Authorization via the mobile app is also not available.

On the CoinMarketCap platform, data on crypto assets deposited on the exchange was updated more than 60 hours ago. There were no new statements from the project team at the time of writing.
