The DeFi Blueberry Protocol reported the hack
The Blueberry decentralized finance protocol has suspended work ― the developers reported an "ongoing hack" and advised users to withdraw all funds from the project pools.
The vulnerability in Blueberry smart contracts was discovered on the night of Friday, February 23. According to PeckShield, a "white hacker" under the pseudonym "c0ffeebabe" was engaged in protecting the assets of users of the project. Later, the developers managed to stop the operation of the protocol and the users' funds were removed from the threat.
The developers reported that the hackers managed to withdraw 457 ETH, but the "white hacker" managed to return 366 ETH. Thus, the losses from the hack amounted to 91 ETH (about $270,000). At the moment, the project developers are working on closing the vulnerability. After correcting the error, they will update the smart contracts and the protocol will be restored.
The Blueberry Project is a credit protocol for decentralized finance. It allows users to borrow 20 times the amount of collateral. The protocol became an offshoot of the Compound project, and the total amount of funds blocked in Blueberry reached $4.5 million.
