Greg Solano, one of the creators of the popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), became CEO of the startup Yuga Labs. On February 21, Solano thanked the now former CEO of Yuga Daniel Alegre in his personal blog and announced that he would take over his post. In the message, he added that he is fully ready to "take the reins of the next chapter" in the startup's history.
Under the leadership of Allegri, who became CEO of Zynga in April last year, the company has made significant progress in the field of Web3. According to Solano, the firm will continue to work in this direction. In the near future, we plan to finalize the Otherside virtual game inspired by BAYC.
"We have a lot of work to do. Only if you come to the game more often and get acquainted with the game, it will be built correctly. When we started creating Otherside, we set out to make this process public and iterative," he wrote.
The new CEO also stressed that one of his main goals will be to increase the usefulness of his NFT collection. Solano spoke about the new subsidiary of Yuga — BAYC LLC. She will be responsible for everything related to the most popular tokens of the project.
