The American tax service hired former top managers of Binance.US and TaxBit
The US Internal Revenue Service (IRIS) has hired former senior executives of the American branch of Binance and the company that develops software for the taxation of cryptocurrencies TaxBit.
Sulolith Mukherjee, who worked at ConsenSys as head of the tax department, and then held a similar post in the United States, became the executive adviser to the American tax Service. Binance.US . Seth Wilkes, former vice president of government Relations at TaxBit, has been selected as the second adviser to the US Internal Revenue Service.
As explained by the commissioner of the US Internal Revenue Service, Danny Werfel, hiring such experienced representatives of private business will improve interaction with the cryptocurrency industry, better protect the rights of users and collect taxes more efficiently.
Earlier, congressmen from the Republican Party sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen demanding that the US Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC), headed by her, clarify the status of cryptocurrencies at the federal level.
