Tether will help Uzbekistan to develop a digital wallet
As of August 2023, a working group with the participation of NAPPA and other interested agencies was studying international experience in the implementation and application of CBDC.
NAPPA of Uzbekistan and Tether have signed a memorandum of understanding, within the framework of which they will develop the blockchain infrastructure in the country.
In particular, the joint work of the parties on the creation of the digital currency of Uzbekistan was announced.
Tether will also help improve the local legislative framework in the field of cryptocurrency turnover and asset tokenization. In addition, it is planned to create educational initiatives to increase public awareness of innovative technologies.
