Tether announced the launch of USDT on the Celo network

Tether has entered into a partnership with the Celo blockchain. The cooperation will allow the issuer of the stablecoin to expand its presence in the crypto industry.

The issuer of the USDT stablecoin has entered into a partnership with the team of the EVM-compatible Celo first-level solution. Tether's management says that this will provide an opportunity to expand the asset's presence in the cryptocurrency industry.

Representatives of the issuer noted the fast processing of data on the Celo network, as well as sub-cent commissions in the region of $ 0.001. Tether says that such a low transaction fee will allow microtransactions.

"With USDT becoming available on Celo, people will have even more opportunities for fast and low-cost payments. They will also have access to reliable scenarios for using stable coins that benefit everyday users around the world," said Celo co—founder Rene Reinsberg.

USDT is now available on a total of 14 different networks, including Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Avalanche and Omni. At the same time, the first two mentioned projects account for 95% of all issued stablecoins, according to Tether Transparency.
