Robinhood investment company has announced the launch of a mobile cryptocurrency wallet for Android.

As noted by Robinhood CEO Johann Kerbrat, the version of the Robinhood Wallet application is now available to users of Android devices around the world:

"Our mission to make Robinhood the most reliable and easiest way to access cryptocurrencies has been expanded. Now our Web3 application is available to millions of users."

According to Kerbrat, since the launch of the iOS app, it has been downloaded by hundreds of thousands of users in more than 140 countries around the world. At the same time, the Android version was in beta testing.

Now owners of Android devices will be able to control digital assets, exchange thousands of tokens in different blockchains, send and receive cryptocurrency, CEO Robinhood said.

According to the data on the official website, the crypto wallet supports the functions of sending, receiving and storing cryptocurrencies in the bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism and Base networks.

Robinhood's head of product, Song Lee, told The Block that the team is working on introducing new features to the app. According to reports, in the near future, users of the crypto wallet will have access to inter-network swaps through decentralized exchange aggregators that reduce barriers to Web3.
