Riot Platforms plans to launch a 400 MW Mining Farm in Texas
The American company Riot Platforms, registered in Colorado, plans to put into operation a bitcoin mining farm in Texas. The first stage with 100 MW equipment is going to be launched in March.
The farm with a total capacity of 400 MW will be deployed in agreement with HashHouse Tech, a company engaged in the supply of mining equipment.
We are talking about MicroBT installations based on the Poseidon platform. The platform promises uninterrupted operation of the equipment in any climatic zone, even at very high temperatures in Texas.
Riot Platforms acquired 66,560 ASIC mining installations at the end of last year. The deal amounted to almost $291 million.
Earlier, the US Office of Administration and Budget (OMB) allowed the Energy Information Administration (EIA) to request detailed data on the consumption and use of electric energy from mining companies.
