Revolut Online Bank allowed MetaMask customers to buy Cryptocurrency for fiat
The service is available in the UK and the European Economic Area
Revolut online banking has launched a new Revolut Ramp product to simplify the purchase of cryptocurrencies, developed jointly with the MetaMask non-custodial crypto wallet team. It will allow users to replenish MetaMask wallets using Revolut accounts. The product is available in the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA).
To purchase cryptocurrencies and replenish the balance on MetaMask, users can use fiat currency on the Revolut account or pay with Visa and Mastercard cards.
"The partnership will give our users what they want – more control over their cryptocurrency, which can be done in a simple way using a familiar and trusted platform," said Lorenzo Santos, senior product manager at MetaMask ConsenSys developer company. According to him, this simplicity plays a crucial role in facilitating the wider adoption of cryptocurrencies.
In February, Revolut announced that it was going to introduce crypto services aimed at advanced traders. The bank currently offers basic crypto services to many of its 40 million customers.
