Michael Saylor Predicted a decade-long "gold rush" for Bitcoin

The founder of the technology giant MicroStrategy, Michael Saylor, said that bitcoin will be in the stage of a "gold rush" for the next ten years. It is associated with a high growth in institutional acceptance, the entrepreneur notes.

Speaking at the Bitcoin Atlantis conference, Sailor expressed the opinion that cryptocurrency ETFs and the development of AI technologies will stimulate the rapid growth of the industry. Institutions will try to acquire as much of the ever-shrinking supply of bitcoin as possible, he notes.

According to Sailor, the hype will last until 2034, after which it will decline, since by that time 99% of the first cryptocurrency will be mined. At the time of writing, this figure has reached 93.5% of the total bitcoin supply, according to Buy Bitcoin Worldwide.

The entrepreneur believes that cryptocurrency ETFs approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission serve as a "sales channel" for 20% of interested parties. However, with the arrival of banks and other companies from the field of traditional finance in the industry, the indicator will grow to 100%, says Sailor.
