Kraken launches new service for institutional clients

According to the official statement, Kraken Institutional will combine the most popular set of platform services adapted to the needs and tasks of institutional clients. In particular, the access of institutional clients to the class of crypto assets will be optimized, scalable and easily integrated solutions related to spot and over-the-counter trading, as well as digital currency staking will be presented.

Tim Ogilvie, head of Kraken's institutional department, said that against the background of growing institutional adoption of digital assets, the launch of Kraken Institutional demonstrates to the community the readiness of the exchange to actively support this client segment.

Earlier, the Kraken exchange filed a statement with the District Court of the Northern District of California, in which it demanded to dismiss the lawsuit filed against it by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on charges of lack of licenses and trading in unregistered securities.
