IntoTheBlock: The number of active Dogecoin addresses has exceeded 6 million
According to the figures of the IntoTheBlock service, the Dogecoin ecosystem has reached a size of 6.27 million addresses, which indicates an increase in trust in DOGE on the part of crypto enthusiasts.
The surge in the opening of new addresses coincided with the bullish momentum of bitcoin, which became the main driver of the growth of the cryptocurrency market. At the moment, the number of active addresses opened by new Dogecoin users during the day reached 506,000.
The transactional activity of the community has come close to the peak indicators of the beginning of 2022. At the beginning of February, about 553,000 addresses were active on the Dogecoin network, which accounted for about 74% of activity indicators for the same period last year.
Currently, Dogecoin (DOGE) occupies the eighth place in the crypto market in terms of asset capitalization with a volume of $31.06 billion. Over the past day, the trading volume of DOGE amounted to about $6.3 billion. On a weekly timeframe, the market value of the coin increased by more than 40%. The daily growth of the asset was almost 16% at a DOGE price of $0.2155.
Earlier, the American cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase sent a notification to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) about plans to launch Dogecoin futures from April 1.
