FTX has opened a website for filing claims

The FTX cryptocurrency exchange has opened a website for filing client claims. However, the prices of crypto assets in the "window" of requirements differ from the current market rates.

FTX recently opened a claim window, and claims for major crypto assets were priced at $16,871 for BTC, $1258 for ETH, $16.24 for SOL, and $286 for BNB, which is a large gap from the current price.

According to reporter Colin Wu, the prices on the site are as follows: $16,871 for bitcoin, $1,258 for Ethereum, $16.24 for Solana and $286 for BNB. These figures differ significantly from current market rates.

The official FTX liquidator has notified creditors of the need to file electronic claims by May 15, 2024. It is expected that the first interim distribution of funds through the claims portal managed by PwC will be carried out in late 2024 or early 2025, and all claims will be denominated in US dollars.

Recall that on December 27, 2023, the debtors of the FTX exchange filed an application to the US bankruptcy court. It referred to a "fair and reasonable assessment" of user claims based on market prices dated November 11, 2022.
