One of the founders of Ethereum succumbed to the temptation to sell at least part of his ether reserves ― and transferred over $38 million in ETH to the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange.

Ethereum Co-founder Jeffrey Wilke has started selling off his ETH stocks

Jeffrey Wilcke transferred 10,000 ETH ($27.5 million) to the Kraken exchange last Wednesday, and over the weekend transferred another 4,300 coins worth $10.75 million. At the same time, the Ethereum co-founder still has about 136,000 ETH worth over $371 million.

The sale of all Wilke's assets can put quite a lot of pressure on the exchange rate of the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. The coin is currently at two-year highs.

Ethereum originally had eight founders. Vitalik Buterin said that such a number of co―founders turned out to be a bad idea - they were selected "too quickly and indiscriminately," and their real contribution to the project "turned out to be very different."
