Bybit cancels fees for P2P transfers

The zero transaction fees policy applies to both sellers and buyers of the Bybit P2P platform

Now a zero trading commission has been officially established on the Bybit P2P trading platform. This means that neither sellers nor buyers will have to pay transaction costs to the site anymore, which will save money.

The new policy applies to all fiat trading pairs on the P2P platform.

Users appreciate the Bybit approach — more than 20 million people registered on the exchange at the end of last year. This number became a record for the trading platform and coincided with another pleasant date — the first five-year anniversary since the launch.

Representatives of Bybit explain the success of their project by the constant introduction of innovations. For example, last summer, the exchange integrated trading AI tools based on the chatbot ChatGPT.

The platform is loyal to Russian users and does not support the sanctions regime.

In 2022, amid the escalation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Bybit refused to impose sanctions against Russian users. In response to the regulator's demands, representatives of the exchange stated that they "took full neutrality." At that time, many crypto companies joined the compliance with the sanctions regime against the Russian Federation, including Binance, KuCoin and Uniswap.

However, in August 2023, the ability to use cards of sub-sanctioned banks temporarily disappeared on the Bybit P2P platform. It later turned out that the exchange had disguised them by changing their names.

"In order to comply with legal requirements, we have changed the names of payment methods on our platform. We ask the makers to clarify information about the available payment methods and only then proceed to sending the payment," says the announcement that appears when choosing a payment method.

At the end of February 2024, the crypto exchange introduced an increased tariff for trading perpetual and futures contracts — from 0.0200% to 0.0360%. Taker's commissions will increase from 0.0550% to 0.1000%. The changes came into force on March 7 and affected residents of the Russian Federation and the CIS.
