Arkham: An anonymous whale with a balance of 94,500 bitcoins became active on the eve of halving
The analytical platform Arkham Intelligence reported that a large bitcoin holder, which has been sleeping since 2019, occupying the fifth line in terms of accumulated coins (94,498.6 BTC), divided its assets between three newly created crypto wallets.
There are only 1.4 BTC left in the original crypto wallet, worth about $98,000. Of the total amount in the region of $6 billion, about $5 billion worth of bitcoins were sent to the balance of one of the new wallets, and the remaining ones were divided and moved to two more wallets in approximately equal shares.
Arkham Intelligence experts could not clarify who owns the original bitcoin address, but it seems that the investor whale is not associated with any of the cryptocurrency exchanges.
Earlier, the analytical company Santiment reported that the digital asset market is approaching a major sale of bitcoins. Santiment is confident that the movement of long-term stored assets on the eve of a major network event, such as the April halving of the Bitcoin network, may be a sign of the preparation of long-term holders of BTC for profit-taking.
