Andreessen Horowitz invested $100 million in EigenLayer
Andreessen Horowitz has invested $100 million in EigenLayer. The evaluation of the startup was not announced after receiving the investment.
The venture capital company Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has invested $100 million in the EigenLayer restaking protocol. This is reported by Bloomberg.
EigenLayer founder Sriram Kannan stated that Andreessen Horowitz was the only participant in the funding round. He also refused to disclose the company's valuation after receiving new capital.
Ali Yahya, General Partner of a16z, stated that the restaking protocol is an important player in the crypto industry. He added:
"EigenLayer will allow you to create new types of applications. People will invest capital to receive rewards from solutions that will appear on the basis of the protocol."
Earlier, TVL EigenLayer crossed the $7 billion mark. The growth occurred after the lifting of the limit on the volume of assets in restaking of 200,000 ETH for each pool.
