AirDAO reported a $1 million hacking of the platform

AirDAO reported a $1 million hacking of the platform

According to the statement, the attacker withdrew funds from the AMB/ETH pool of the Uniswap decentralized exchange.

The specific vector of the attack remains undisclosed, but the AirDAO team reported that the hacker gained unauthorized access "through fraud in the field of social engineering", posing as a major partner of the project.

The perpetrator probably attached a malicious link to the email.

"It was an isolated theft of the liquidity pool. It will not affect the funds of users in the AirDAO blockchain or on exchanges, as well as on the multi—signature of the treasury," the representatives of the network noted.

AirDAO also offered the hacker a reward of 10% of the stolen funds for asset recovery. Otherwise, the blockchain team will contact law enforcement agencies to investigate the incident.

According to PeckShield, the hacker has already transferred the cryptocurrency to centralized exchanges, including MEXC, KuCoin and ChangeNOW.

SlowMist analysts added that some of the stolen funds were sent to Binance and BitMart.

Founded in 2022, AirDAO positions itself as a community-driven Web3 ecosystem of decentralized applications based on the Ambrosus Network blockchain network with the native AMB token.
