9 New Bitcoin ETFs have Accumulated 450,000 BTC worth More than $30 billion
The latest data on bitcoin reserves of nine new bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) indicate that they currently own 453,503.98 BTC worth approximately $30.29 billion.
Since their creation on January 11, 2024, these nine spot bitcoin ETFs have rapidly accumulated a significant amount of bitcoins (BTC), and they are projected to soon exceed the half a million mark. As of March 17, 2024, their collective assets amount to 453,503.98 BTC worth $30.29 billion.
The leader is Blackrock's IBIT with a huge 228,612.98 BTC worth $15.27 billion, which is 50.41% of the total available 453,503.98 BTC.
With a significant lag behind Blackrock is the FBTC Fidelity fund, which has 1,32,571.08 BTC worth approximately $8.85 billion. FBTC reserves account for 29.23% of the total reserves of nine bitcoin ETFs.
Ark Invest's ARKB currently holds 39,789 BTC with a market value of $2.65 billion, and BITB Bitwise holds 29,267 BTC worth approximately $1.95 billion. As for the Vaneck and Valkyrie funds, their assets are 7,438.19 BTC and 6,43.69 BTC, respectively.
The Invesco BTCO fund owns 5,098 BTC worth just over $340 million, and the EZBC Franklin Templeto fund owns 3306 BTC. According to the latest data, the Wisdomtree BTCW fund holds 1078.04 BTC. Now these total reserves exceed the reserves of Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), which has 380,240.68 BTC worth $25.4 billion at its disposal, which means a noticeable decrease after switching to a spot bitcoin ETF.
