U.S. DOJ Asks Changpeng Zhao (CZ) to Be Jailed for 3 Years

Prosecutors in the Changpeng Zhao (CZ) case have asked the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington to sentence the crypto mogul to 36 months in prison.

Following his admission of guilt for violating anti-money laundering laws, CZ made the decision to step down as Binance CEO in November last year. This move was part of a plea deal that also involved Binance agreeing to a substantial $4.3 billion fine and the appointment of a court monitor.
