The NBU announced the development of measures to limit transfers between cards

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) is developing measures to limit transfers between cards, as well as replenishment and withdrawal of cash through terminals. This is reported by Forbes with reference to the words of the first deputy head of the regulator Ekaterina Rozhkova.

The official noted that the restrictions will primarily affect those contractors who use various tricks to evade taxes.

"We are currently working on this issue and will consult with our colleagues from the relevant committee on how best to do this. On the one hand, we do not want to restrict normal business and people, and on the other hand, to reduce the opportunities for manipulation and circumvention of the law," Rozhkova said.

According to her, the restrictions will last for the duration of martial law. Among other things, the measures being developed will affect the volume and number of transactions, as well as the maximum amount of cash transfers via terminals.

It is noteworthy that earlier, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Daniil Getmantsev, published a message that indirectly confirms Rozhkova's words.

At the same time, he noted that in the segment of non-cash payments there are "separate schemes for carrying out prohibited types of economic activities," including the use of virtual assets for conducting gray/shadow financial transactions.
