NFT with the image of the Dogwifhat symbol sold for $4.3 million
A photo of a dog with the Dogwifhat memcoin logo was sold at auction as NFT for $4.3 million.
The possible owner of a dog named Achi, which is the symbol of the memcoin Dogwifhat (WIF), sold a photo of the animal at auction as an NFT lot. Crypto trader Gigantic Rebirth Ventures paid 1,210.8 ETH for it.
A representative of the Foundation platform on which the auction was held wrote in his X (previously Twitter):
"On November 17, 2018, the owners of Achi photographed him on camera wearing a magic hat. The picture went viral and eventually turned into a meme and mascot for the WIF memcoin. Today, this image was acquired by Gigantic Rebirth Ventures for 1,210,759 ETH."
