NEAR Foundation has launched the Chain Signatures Protocol
The NEAR Foundation has launched a protocol for signing transactions on different networks using a single account. It aims to combine liquidity from different ecosystems. The project partner is EigenLayer.
The NEAR Foundation has announced the launch of the Chain Signatures protocol. With its help, the user can sign transactions in supported blockchains using a single account.
"From day one, the NEAR ecosystem has been focused on making Web3 access easier for developers and regular users. Chain Signatures is the next step on this path, which greatly simplifies transactions in any blockchain and contributes to the defragmentation of liquidity," said Ilya Polosukhin, co—founder of the project.
According to the press release, at the initial stage, the protocol supports the following networks: Ethereum, Cosmos, Dogecoin, Bitcoin and XRP Ledger. Later, the developers promise to integrate Solana, TON Network, Polkadot and others.
Chain Signatures actually eliminates the need for cross-chain protocols, one of the project developers noted. According to him, this way dApps can get unhindered access to liquidity from another blockchain.
The EigenLayer protocol acts as a partner of the project, ensuring the stability and security of the infrastructure, he added.
