MakerDAO will begin its transformation in the summer as part of the Endgame plan
NewStable owners will be able to "farm" a total of up to 600 million management tokens per year.
MakerDAO founder Rune Christensen revealed details of the first stage of the Endgame roadmap called "Launch Season", the implementation of which will begin in the summer of 2024.

The project presented a five-stage transformation plan in May 2023.
According to Christensen, during the first stage, all the main functions of Endgame will be implemented "in quick succession".
Initially, there will be a presentation of a new brand, which is designed to emphasize the "basic principles of the project":
"To make saving money with the help of stablecoins interesting and simple, as well as to provide easy access to new and interesting tokens for free and without additional risk."
This phase will take about a month. A Launch Airdrop incentive program is provided for early users of the updated site.
Next, two new tokens will be launched. NewStable will replace the DAI stablecoin, and MKR will be denominated in a ratio of 1:24,000 in NewGovToken.
NewStable owners will be able to "farm" a total of up to 600 million management tokens per year.
Then a new Lockstake Engine will appear, which will allow NewGovToken and MKR holders to earn income by blocking tokens. 30% of the protocol's revenue will be used for these purposes. To encourage long-term participation, the withdrawal fee from the service will be 15%.
The solution, under the working name NewBridge, will connect MakerDAO ecosystem tokens with the main Ethereum-based L2 protocols for "profitable farming". It is assumed that in the long term, the tool will become a full-fledged cross-chain bridge to various blockchains.
Christensen called the launch of SparkDAO with the SPK management token the culmination of the "Launch Season" as the first implementation of the subDAO concept as part of the transformation.
The main product of the future independent system, the SparkLend landing service, has been operating since May 2023. With the upgrade, he will receive new business opportunities, including access to MakerDAO's RWA infrastructure and the perpetual swap market. Christensen confirmed the future airdrop of SPK.
