Crypto lender BlockFi has agreed to pay $875 million from FTX and Alameda Research

The BlockFi crypto lender, which went bankrupt due to the collapse of FTX, has reached an agreement with FTX and Alameda Research asset managers to pay $875 million. The funds will be used to reimburse the service's customers.

If the court approves the agreement, BlockFi's management will demand $185.2 million from FTX managers, and $689.3 million will have to be paid to the credit service from Alameda Research assets. If these obligations are fulfilled, BlockFi customers will receive a full refund of the lost funds.

Of this amount, $250 million will have to be paid as a secured claim with collateral. This will allow BlockFi to prioritize payments. However, it will be necessary to wait for the approval of the FTX reorganization by creditors.

"BlockFi guarantees to receive $250 million as soon as possible after confirming the FTX reorganization plan and its entry into force. It is expected that the second distribution of funds will take place in the near future," the court documents say.
